Free swimming lessons and unlimited free swimming - 17 September to 28 October 2012
Funding has been received from Kellogg's Swim Active to provide 6 weeks of free swimming lessons for young people aged 7 - 15 year old at Pavilion Leisure Centre in Withernsea. The splashtastic event runs from 17 September to 28 October 2012 and includes an unlimited free swimming pass for all participants taking part in the event.
A series of lessons are being provided for children and young people depending on their age and ability;
Non-splashers
A weekly session aimed at the 7 – 11 year old age group helping non or weak swimmers get their confidence.
Sessions: Wednesday 4.00 - 4.30pm and 4.30 - 5.00pm, Saturday 10.45 - 11.15am and 11.15 - 11.45am
Big splashers
A weekly session aimed at teenagers who are non-swimmers or weak swimmers. In a relaxed atmosphere learn at your own pace.
Sessions: Wednesday 4.00 - 4.30pm and 4.30 - 5.00pm
Club splashers
A weekly session aimed at swimmers aged 7 - 15 year old who want to learn the skills of a competititive swimmer (swimmers must be able to swim 4 lengths)
Sessions: Monday 5.00 - 5.30pm, 5.30 - 6.00pm, Saturday 11.15 - 11.45am
What you get
Every swimmer will also get an unlimited free swimming pass for use at any East Riding swimming pool for the duration of the event. Child supervision rules still apply.
